How do I go about enquiring about a cake?

Get in touch via email or using our online form on the contact page.
Once you're happy with your details of the cake and prices, an invoice will be sent - payment will be required within 7 days to secure your booking.

** Please note that we do not make tentative bookings. Bookings are only confirmed once a formal quote received and payment/deposit has been paid.

How many flavours may I choose?

You are welcome to pick 1 flavour for each tier. For 3 tiered cakes, 2-3 flavours is recommended, and for 4+ tiers, 3-4 flavours is also available for you to choose. This is so there will be approximately the same number of servings per flavour once the cake is served.

Do you provide cake tastings/consultations?

We currently offer two sample days a year, usually beginning of the wedding season and one at the end, this is to be confirmed. Consultations are available upon request which is a non-fundable £20. Please note this is not taken off your quotation if you choose to go ahead with us.

How big/tall are your cakes?

I get asked this question a lot. So for example if you order a 6 inch cake it will be 6 inch in diameter but can be anywhere between 12-15cm in height depending on fillings and flavoured sponges. All cakes are different, therefore no two cakes are ever the same.

Allergies/Fresh Flowers etc..

We are NOT a nut free kitchen, all cakes are made in the same kitchen where nuts, soy, gluten, egg and dairy are present. We currently do not make vegan or eggless cakes. While we will endeavour to accommodate your request and prevent cross contamination, there is no guarantee that products are nut, gluten, egg or dairy free.

We cannot guarantee that any of our products do not contain any substance that may cause some form of allergic reaction. You are responsible for advising your guests of this and we will not accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury from exposure to anything which might cause an allergic reaction. This may include, but without limitation, nuts, nut products, alcohol, dairy, wheat, sulphates or colouring.
You should also note that some decorations are not edible (fresh flowers, wires, ribbons, jewels, boards, etc). You are responsible for advising your guests of this and we will not accept any liability for any loss, damage, illness or injury arising from any such exposure.
A dietary list of ingredients can be provided to you if required. This must be requested a minimum of 4 weeks before your event. If a venue require a list of ingredients this is to be requested via you and not the venue
Our products contain gluten, wheat, dairy, eggs and may contain traces of nuts unless otherwise stated.
We are willing to accommodate for certain allergies however, please consider this is a working kitchen full of a wide range of ingredients. We will use the correct ingredients for your allergy but we cannot guarantee it will be free from that particular requirement due to the kitchen it is baked in. We accept no liability for customers suffering allergic reactions from eating our cakes.

Cake care guide

Always carry the cake box from underneath, never hold the cake box at the sides. The best place to keep the cake during transportation is on the floor of the car, they should not be placed on anyone's lap and please turn the air con on during the warmer seasons. Avoid any sudden braking at all costs! Cakes are best eaten at room temperature, if you keep the cake refrigerated then we suggest you let the cake sit between 2-4 hours prior to cutting.

Cakes are packaged with care to ensure minimal movement during transport - please note that the box lid will not close fully.

How far in advance can i order?

We recommend you to order a minimum of 3-4 weeks in advance for small cakes and a minimum of 12-20 weeks for weddings. However you can order as early as you like no matter how big or small the order. Some of our wedding cake orders are ordered a year in advance so to avoid any disappointment please feel free to email us to check for availability.
